Each standard octagon shaped rain barrel tank measures 29" w x 29" l x 18" h and holds 54 gallons. The tanks stack on top of each other for 108 gallon total. This is a high quality, attractive rain barrel that comes with all spin welded fittings, brass and zinc hardware, and a child and pet safe inlet. The two overflow fittings take your standard garden hose, and there is no special kit to order for connecting the tanks. You can adapt your water collection tanks to your needs depending on the space you have and how much water you want to collect.
A full rain barrel could potentially crack during a hard freeze when the water expands into ice, but an empty rain barrel will not. When there is a hard freeze in the winter time, just remember to keep your drain plug open on your rain barrel and it will be fine.
